1) What is online tuition?

Online tuition is a lesson which takes place over the internet. It is exactly the same as conventional face-to-face tutoring except that the tutor is not physically in the same room.

2) Are there different types of online tuition?

Yes. Lessons can be by exchange of emails, by live (written) conversation, by voice or by sound and picture.

3) What equipment do I need?

All you need is your computer, an internet connection, a microphone and/or a webcam (some come with built in microphones). If you do not already use a messenger service please download one of the following:

4) But isn't this a gimmick?

No, these are qualified people doing the same sort of tuition that you would have had face-to-face over the internet. Please don't mix us up with these websites that make all sorts of rash claims about how if you sign up for their self-teaching course you will be able to do this, that and the other. This is merely the modern face of an old-fashioned and well-established service.

5) Why would I not just enrol at a college or take lessons face-to-face?

Many people do and if this suits your personality and lifestyle then this indeed may be a favourable option. However, some people may feel shy in large classrooms, feel as though they do not get enough attention from a teacher, may not be able to commit to regular lessons, may live a great distance from the nearest college and many parents would not feel comfortable sending children out in the evening.

Online language tuition provides the learner with lessons when and where they want, cutting out all the complications. The security, flexibility and cost effectiveness of online language tuition appeals to many people.

6) What if I do not like my tutor?

We will change them for you until you are 100% happy.

7) Can I share my lesson with someone else?

All our prices are for private, one-to-one lessons.

8) Can I take the lessons whenever I want?

Yes. Online language tuition provides you with the flexibility to take your lessons when you want.

9) How do I pay?

All lessons must be paid for prior to any lessons commencing. Once you have sent us an e-mail via our booking form, we will send you details of how to pay. We currently only accept cheque and bank transfers, credit card online payment will be available soon.

10) What about refunds and complaints?

We will refund if you are unhappy with our service, please read the student handbook for terms and conditions.

11) How do I enrol?
